Our badger lampshade is a one-off piece and part of a series inspired by all the wonderful beasties and berries that grow in the local woods. With all the berries starting to form on the hedges, it wont be long before those beautiful juicy berries make it into a humble apple crumble.
This shade has four cheeky and playful badgers surrounded by all the ripening berries of the woods. Our shade has been hand painted to replicate all the beautiful autumnal shades of the leaves in the woods. It has a paint splatter effect that adds to the organic look of the background which is off white. Each badger and leaf, has been carefully cut out pieces of tweed and cotton, which have then been stitched using free motion embroidery. The edges are "raw" and may fray slightly, this is considered part of the design. The blackberries have each been hand embroidered and small iridescent beads have been stitched to add texture and a glossy shine.
