Our puffin shade is a one-off piece that is inspired by our love of the "flying clown".
Our shade has a hand dyed backing, creating a stormy texture which represents the home where the small puffins reside. The shade has 5 little characters stitched on the rock edge and one brave puffin flying out to sea.
Each puffin is made from carefully cut out pieces of wool and cotton, which have been stitched in detail, using free motion embroidery. The edges of the pieces are "raw" and may fray slightly, this is considered part of the design.
